The other day we took a trip to the Netherworld (aka the movie theater) to see the new Beetlejuice movie, and wow, what a trip THAT was! 🤯 Beetlejuice has always been one of my all-time favorite Halloween guys. He's crude, he's hilarious, he's a total trickster, but deep down, you know he has a heart (somewhere under all that grime and chaos). He's a little rough around the edges, but boy, does he know how to put on a show!
This new movie? Well, it was like Beetlejuice with ADHD. A LOT was happening, and it was a little hard to keep up at times. Honestly, there were a few things that could've been left on the cutting room floor, and the ending felt a bit abrupt. BUT, that wedding scene? 💀 Let's just say it's now my official dream wedding.
To kick off the October spirit (because, duh, Beetlejuice!), I've been playing around with some pumpkins, doing a little chalk art (more on that later!), and even made a little "juice baby" creation. Stay tuned for pics! 🎃
Chalk art is, and always will be, my favorite. There's something about the feel of the sidewalk on my fingers as I create...it's pure magic. October, Beetlejuice, and chalk art? Totally in my vibe. ✨
What I loved about the movie:
 * The visuals: Tim Burton's signature style is on full display, and it's as weird and wonderful as ever.
 * The humor: Still dark and quirky, just the way I like it.
 * The wedding scene: has now become my dream wedding sceneÂ
 * Beetlejuice himself: Michael Keaton is back and as gloriously unhinged as ever.
What could have been better:
 * The pacing: It felt a bit rushed and chaotic at times.
 * The ending: Needed a bit more oomph.
Overall, it was a fun, spooky ride that definitely got me in the Halloween spirit. Have you seen it yet? What did you think?
October vibes. Playing with pumpkin, chalk art, and "juice baby"! Don't miss it!Â
